Why am I calling this page the Bucket List? Well for starters I really loved the movie and I truly believe that we should all try to make as many of our desires and dreams come true before our time on this Earth ends. It doesn’t matter how small or grand the idea is to just get out there and live.
As most of you know each year I pick some sort of charity and try to raise funds to help that charity. I know I have a number of organizations that are dear to my heart but this year I decided to go back to what ‘tugs at my heart strings.’ Animals. I’m currently looking to adopt another dog and give him/her a loving and safe home. I wish I could bring them all home but I can’t. Animals rely on us to be their caretakers and unfortunately not everyone takes this responsibilty seriously.
So this leads me back to my original geocoin charity in 2007, the Humane Society. I am making it my personal goal to ensure that every cat/dog/critter that is sitting in the Lewis and Clark Humane Society here in Helena, Montana gets at least a partial adoption fee paid in the year 2009. I want each critter to have a chance to find a loving home!
Many of you know that I currently have 2 dogs; 1 year old Tristin (Mini Aussie) and 12 year old Dakota (Border Collie). In April 0f 2008 I had to put my 10 year old Aussie; “Cowboy” down due to a long suffering disease. My dogs are my kids and they have all come from actual working cattle ranches; Dakota and Cowboy from Montana ranches and Tristin from Oklahoma. I also have 3 cats which have been adopted from Humane Societies in Montana and Minnesota. Over the years I have donated food, toys and cash to help out these wonderful causes when I could.
So, this brings me to the reason behind this entire page. In loving memory of Cowboy, I am currently working on a geocoin project/design that will benefit and go towards the adoption fees of all the critters at the Humane Society here in Helena. I am not ready to reveal all the details yet but just know that I’m funding this project on my own 100% of the profits raised will go the Humane Society donated in the form of adoption fees until each pet there is sponsored! Details will be available in early 2009.

Please consider adopting a pet, there are many wonderful and loving cats/dogs/critters that could use a great home. Please be a responsible pet owner by spaying or neutering.
*** If you have a pet that you adopted from a ‘Animal Shelter’, please send me a picture of your pet with his or her name and I’ll post it here
Thanks! tsun
